Raintree Family Office

Raintree Family Office was established by Leena Dandekar, Abha Dandekar and Vivek Dandekar with the objective of investing the family-owned funds towards a portfolio promoting innovation in climate solutions, sustainability and responsible consumption.

The family office manages two distinct pools of capital – A proprietary for-profit pool and a separately identified not-for-profit pool to build a socially conscious investment portfolio which is diversified and includes ESG conscious alternative assets, impact investments as well as public market equities.

Our Founders

Leena Dandekar

Founder and Principal, Raintree Family Office and Raintree Foundation

Leena is helping the Raintree Family Office build a socially conscious investment portfolio which is diversified and includes ESG conscious alternative assets, impact investments as well as public market equities. Equity investments in innovative for-profit ventures that address critical environmental and climate issues is a focus area. Before starting the Raintree Family Office and Raintree Foundation, Leena served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Camlin Group, where she helmed various strategic and operational initiatives.

Leena holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, a Masters in Management Studies in Finance, and an LLB from Mumbai University.

Abha Dandekar

Co-founder, Raintree Family Office and Raintree Foundation

Abha Dandekar is involved in the strategic decision-making and human resources at Raintree Family Office. Prior to Raintree Family Office, Abha worked in corporate HR with a large Indian Bank. Her interest in sustainability, climate change and mental health led her to move from a career in HR to pursue her family’s impact philosophy.

Abha holds an MBA from Bayes Business School, an M.Sc. in Human Resource Management & Consulting from the University of Bath, and B.A. in Psychology from Kishinchand Chelaram College, University of Mumbai.

Vivek Dandekar

Co-founder, Raintree Family Office and Raintree Foundation

Vivek Dandekar co-founded the Raintree Family Office and Raintree Foundation to address the issues of climate change through impact investing and philanthropy. His focus is achieving sustainability, resilience and changing consumptions for a greener planet.

Vivek holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Symbiosis Law School in Pune and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies with a specialization in Finance from Jai Hind College at Mumbai University. Prior to and alongside starting the Raintree Group, Vivek has interned with several corporate law firms and businesses. He has also worked as a wealth manager.
